Sunday Sun Flares

Like a lot of people out there, I would consider Sunday to be my favorite day of the week. Worship, breakfast food, quality time with loved ones what’s not to love?

This Sunday Jordan mentioned he needed to go up to his grandparents to do chores, and like I typically do when he heads North to do chores I informed him I would go with him. No, not to help – but to take pictures. Duh.

Sunset + curious critters = count me in. AND I can’t pass up a chance to check on how Herbie is growing. Whos Herbie, you ask? Herbie was our first calf last year, and the name just stuck. #gohuskers

Samuelson Family

When one of my sisters asks me to take pictures of their family I’m always excited, but also anxious. They are likely my biggest fans, but they can also be my biggest critics – in the most loving way of course! What I mean is they aren’t afraid to push me to try something different. Surround yourself with people who make you better, right? I learned a lot during this shoot, and I’m so thankful that both of my sisters live close enough that I have the opportunity to take their pictures. So here it is Samuelson Family, I hope you like what you see!

Summer Nights

In the Summer on Wednesday Nights we gather at the hill with friends to enjoy the sunset, have a few brews and catch up. It’s a nice way to break up the week and there’s nothing quite like a Nebraska Sunset.

Planting 2016

The weather for #plant16 tested our resilience. It was a wet Spring resulting in many challenges, and in some cases, flooding fields enough for some re-plant. Here are just a few of my favorite shots from this year’s planting season. Now it’s time to pray that the rain we had this Spring continues to fall throughout the Summer.
