Communicating efficiently and effectively through traditional and non-traditional platforms, I’m ready to help develop a message that engages any target audience. From internal communications that create synchronicity with employee groups; to external messaging, letting customers know the ins and out’s of new products and services. I’m ready to tell a story.

My career has led me to become a multi-media marketing expert with experience in project management, writing, photography, graphic design, social media, web, podcasts, videography, and event planning. I’m a self-starter who’s willing to learn; there’s no task too big or too small.

I have strong organizational, communication, task management, and idea development skills. I’m someone who can take a project from start to finish with a meticulous record of everything in between.

My passion for agriculture began at an early age while growing up on our family farm in Eastern Nebraska.

Member of the freelance team self-assigning photography projects for the Better Homes & Gardens (BHG) photo inventory needs. Determine and use appropriate lighting, composition, background, and equipment to ensure quality shooting in accordance with the Better Homes and Gardens style guide. Subjects include plants, flowers, tools, equipment, and people (no faces allowed). Work alongside photo directors to meet project deadlines.

Oversee and generate content to effectively communicate on behalf of CVA. Ensure brand consistency while working alongside the various co-op divisions, partners, and board members. Project manager and content editor of campaigns, events, and strategic initiatives. Experience managing a variety of tasks and leading idea development. Creator of newsletters, email campaigns, photography, videography, website content, social media posts, promotional items, press releases, print materials, radio, podcasts, and TV.

Growing Agriculture Together Campaign

  • Brand Standards & Logo. Developed logo using Adobe Illustrator. Chose campaign fonts, colors, and overall gradient style.
  • Campaign lead. I guided the internal team of five full-time employees and two interns to accomplish all tasks related to the campaign. Managing weekly team meetings in addition to one-on-ones to ensure goals were met. Provided weekly progress reports to SVP Marketing. Worked with a third-party video crew to communicate budget and needs for campaign video production.
  • Copywriter & Scriptwriter. Wrote all copy used in the promotion of the campaign in print materials and on the website. Reviewed and proofed all video scripts for message consistency, and agricultural industry accuracy. Coordinate meetings with appropriate divisions to gain insight and develop ideas. Wrote entire script for agronomy, feed, and safety video series.
  • Website Developer. Created the campaign website on WordPress, and single-handedly uploaded all imagery, documents, SEO keywords, links, and copy. Concepted and brought entire site navigation to life. https://growingagriculturetogether.com/

Agronomy Focus Monthly Video Series

  • Coordinate with the agronomy team to develop monthly video series to promote offerings and educate customers.
  • Promote videos on social media by linking or uploading natively to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Vimeo.
  • Review analytics to adjust publishing strategy and gain viewership.
  • Promote videos through targeted emails to customers and employees using the Constant Contact Email Marketing Platform.
  • Ghostwrite articles for use in website blogs, newspapers, and customer newsletters to further promote engagement with the video series.

VOLUNTEER

DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (GRADES 7-12)

St. Charles Borromeo | 2011 – PRESENT

Help adults, children, and youth with faith formation and education. Manage weekly evening teen programs throughout the school year for an average of 50 teens in Grades 7-12. Oversee a team of five adult volunteers by providing a yearly education calendar, coordinating special events and masses, and selecting an appropriate curriculum for each age group. Coordinate and organize volunteer opportunities and youth group activities. Facilitate online registration for grades K-12 and provide updates to the online directory as needed.

  • Parish Safe Environment Coordinator
    • Track and manage Safe Environment certification for all parish volunteers. Oversee yearly audit and Circle of Grace implementation.

    • Create a yearly “Senior” video featuring high school graduates to utilize as a celebration and evangelization tool for the parish.
